Cabela’s, the “World’s Foremost Outfitter for Hunting – Fishing – Outdoor Gear has introduced a new product, the Gunsaddle Ô Gun Travel System.

This is a plastic molded saddle that keeps the rifle or shotgun held in place between the seats of hunting or police and emergency vehicles. To keep from sliding on the hard plastic piece, a specially formulated spray polyurea elastomer system has been applied in the trough / cradle area of the Gunsaddle.

This system is a low Shore D Hardness, about 39 (Shore A 85), applied with a stipple texture. The soft feel inhibits scratching and cushions the firearm during rough travels, yet provides for easy access.

The aromatic polyurea spray elastomer system is manufactured by PDA member company Rapid Coating Systems, LLC in Lafayette, LA. The custom spray application work for the Gunsaddle is done by Xtreme Liners, also in Lafayette, LA.
