PolyTechnologies, Inc. was
established in 2002 as a sales Agent and Consultant to offer Technical
and Commercial support to the polyurea and polyurethane markets. We have
worked with several companies involved with both raw materials for
polyurea, as well as formulator companies who supply the polyurea
coatings and linings. Ray Scott, the company's founder has authored or
co-authored more than 30 technical papers on polyurea or polyurethane
products and applications, and holds 20 UD patents in the polyurethane
or polyurea area.
PolyTechnologies is also
associated with The Hanson Group, a raw material Distributor
representing products from Aceto Corporation, BASF, Dow Chemical, and
others. The Hanson Group supplies everything needed for polyurea
coatings and caulks including Vorastar MDI prepolymers from Dow; PEA
polyetheramines from BASF, PolyLink 4200 from Aceto, DETDA amine chain
extenders, PolyGrab adhesion promoters, PolyStab UV absorbers, and other
additives. One strength of PolyTechnologies and The Hanson Group is
sourcing of difficult to find products, or single source products from
anywhere in the world. |

Ray was one of the founding
members of the PDA, and served as President in 2002-2004, and serves
today as Past President. PDA offers a unique opportunity for companies
and people in the polyurea industry to network to discuss common
problems, and difficulties and learn of other ways of solving those
problems. It gives a feeling of unity among people with common ideas,
and common experiences.
